  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • 5–6 fresh mint leaves (optional, for extra freshness)

  • Ice cubes (for serving)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Lemon Balm Infusion:
  • In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
  • Add the lemon balm leaves, lemon slices, and ginger. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for an additional 10 minutes to allow the flavors to fully develop.
  • Strain & Sweeten:
  • Strain the liquid into a pitcher or large jar to remove the lemon balm leaves, lemon slices, and ginger.
  • If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup while the liquid is still warm to help it dissolve.
  • Add Freshness:
  • Toss in the fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of flavor.
  • Chill & Serve:
  • Let the drink cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
