  • Author: Elina
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps 1x
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Description

These wraps capture all the iconic flavors of a Big Mac—special sauce, seasoned beef, and tangy pickles—but in a lighter, low-carb lettuce wrap format. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, these wraps are fun, flavorful, and easy to customize!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Special Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Beef Filling:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Wraps:

  • 8 large butter lettuce leaves (or iceberg lettuce cups)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup diced white onion

  • ½ cup dill pickles, chopped

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (for extra crunch)

Instructions

1. Make the Special Sauce:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Set aside.

2. Cook the Beef Filling:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and set aside.

3. Assemble the Wraps:

  • Lay out the butter lettuce leaves on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of the special sauce onto each lettuce leaf.

  • Divide the cooked beef evenly among the lettuce leaves, placing it in the center.

  • Top the beef with shredded cheddar cheese, diced white onion, chopped pickles, and shredded lettuce.

4. Serve:

  • Fold the sides of the lettuce leaves inward and roll them up gently to form wraps. Secure with toothpicks if needed. Serve immediately with extra special sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover beef filling and special sauce separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Assemble the wraps fresh when ready to serve.

  • Customization: Feel free to add or substitute ingredients like avocado, bacon, or a fried egg for extra flavor.

  • Low-Carb Option: This recipe is naturally low-carb and gluten-free, making it a great choice for those following specific diets.
